Soft rose petal cheeks
Desire to be daring
Linger behind
Brimming but not being seen.
Steel grey eyes and stern gaze
that blazes in the light.
Ready to be noticed, to be adored.
She plays the game,
Settles powder upon her skin
Dulls her down
She hums a stagnant sound
Soft petal breath
Whistles past her lips as
Her ribcage rages out
In her dance, her closed eyes…
Song plays out in her mind.
A song letting the daring free
A shaking dance
Keeps her from the fall
Dazzling she moves making waves
And the soft dance is
Heavy grey
She hums the sound
With rose petal breath
And it whistles…
Giving off an air of being daring.
Throw her arms up
Soft melodic sway.

Crack glass
And let the water
Spill and flow
Translucent as thought
And as impossible to catch
Stop thoughts from sliding
Slipping into darkened cracks.
Cracks in mirrors
Distort the light
And throw your image off
Where d'you go when thoughts are wild.
Chased and thrashing behind your eyes.
Crushed like drying flowers
Powdered rosy scent
That throws thought
To where things
Had happened.
The past slips away like water
Spilling from the glass.

Amber light
Hot hues that coat us in gold
The day coated in rose tinted sweet
Pill to swallow.
Isn’t it easy.
Cherry red
Night that burrows down
Itching under skin
Dance the night off
Dance off the cold feet
The need to escape.
Dense black,
The end. When darkness comes
Days will go out
Colourless, see through.

These Folks Pack a ton of sound into 4 songs.. with their Edgy Chiming Jangling Guitars.. and Echoing Vocals Cutting Through your soul like a Knife Along Butter. from tracks If You, Ocean Blue, and Turn Your Head. You Get the sense these guys know their history of music and have a broad style of play. Turn Your Head has a kind of Byrds-esque Feel, while the track Ocean Blue is almost reminiscent of an Old Stone Roses Tune. My Personal Favorite is Let's Go Home which brings to mind Sarah Records
